Symptoms Of High H Cg Levels
What should the next step be after two preg tests? HCG level elevated. Hyster.3/3/2011. no symptoms
Need more history: Why are they checking hcg levels at your age? Sme of the information you've provided doesn't seem consistent with usual practice. Need more information to answer questions appropraitely.
How high does hCG level have to be before a hpt will show positive? I had a miscarriage four weeks ago but am having pregnancy symptoms again.
Blood level greater: Than 5 units of HCG is generally used as the diagnostic level. Urine tests are less sensitive and depend on the concentration of urine. If you are more than two weeks past your expected period, do a hpt with first morning urine and see this site for info. Http://www. Webmd. Well....: It is hard to make a judgment based on one isolated hormone level. BHCG levels vary widely from person to person. It's better to follow a trend by checking a second level a few days later. That gives you more information.
Yes: Hcg levels can vary significantly in different pregnancies at different times of preg. Extremly high levels can indicate other disease processes like gestational trophoplastc disease. The value needs to be weighed in view of the whole clinical picture. This would be best evaluated by a board certified obgyn.See 1 more doctor answer
Nothing: The health of the pregnancy and its stage determine the level of HCG and neither you or your provider can usually make a difference in that regard.
Hi, I had my hCG levels done on weds and they came back 7800 ithen on mon and they were 22000. Is this to high for 4-5 weeks?
Wide normal levels: There a wide range of normal HCG levels during normal pregnancy and it may be reasonable to repeat the test if there are any concerns. See this site for the range of normals. Http://www. Americanpregnancy. Org/duringpregnancy/hcglevels. Html.
Roughly 7wks preg. Yesterday's hCG level was a little over 118, 000. Today (23hrs later) 132, 000. Too high for 7weeks? Multiples? Further along?
No worries...: This varies amongst women. A normal level at 7 weeks is anywhere between 7, 650 to 229, 000. As long as you're having an appropriate rise in your HCG level (doubling every 48-72 hrs), then there's nothing to worry about. If you want to find out how far along, or if multiples, it's better to get an ultrasound. Make an appointment with your OB ASAP. Congrats on your pregnancy!See 1 more doctor answer
Hcg levels at 4 weeks 4 days where 1300 does this seem like a high number I know its hard to tell from a single test waiting on results of 2nd test?
HSG Levels: Hcg levels rise throughout the pregnancy. I assume you are saying 4 weeks 4 days from the last menses. The levels of HCG double approximately every 48 hours. Therefore, the level may be normal. Sometimes a "high" level may indicate multiple pregnancy, getting the dates wrong or a normal pregnancy. I would get an ultrasound at 5 weeks assess the pregnancy.See 1 more doctor answer
My u/s showed I am 6 weeks 1 day but my blood test indicated I was 12-14 weeks. The u/s showed one baby so far, what could make the hCG level so high?
Ultrasound is right: Hcg levels don't mean much, the ultrasound is what is used for dating criteria.
Pregnancy or tumor: Hcg is the normal hormonal product of the placenta and so levels are high in pregnancy; a urine pregnancy test looks for hcg. However some tumors also produce hcg, so a high level in a man, or in a non-pregnant woman, strongly suggests a tumor that needs to be found and treated as soon as possible.
Possible: The values vary greatly from pt to pt and preg to preg. (see prior answer on normal values). If HCG is out of normal range for gestation then further evaluation is warrantedSee 1 more doctor answer
See below: It could mean incorrect dating, multiple gestation, or certain types of tumors.
Fri Hcg level 18000. Mon 28000. Wed 38000. Just turned 6wks on Tue. My Dr is concerned its not high enough, what do you think?
Concerned: In a normal early pregnancy the HCG level should have doubled between Friday and Monday. I'm sure that is why your doctor repeated it on Wednesday and it still did not rise as much as would be expected. I would want an ultrasound to be sure the baby is in your uterus and not in a tube and that everything looks ok. This could still be a normal pregnancy but I am concerned. Good luck.
How is it possible that hCG level of 634 be this high after only 3-4 days after jntercourse? Isn't the process much longer to get hCG produced?
HCG: Human Chorionic Gonadotropin is a hormone that normally supports the development of the egg in the ovary, its release and then helps support pregnancy. However, some abnormal tissues can also produce this hormone or one very similar to it. Most pregnancy tests are based on this hormone. It use as a tumor marker requires a different setting and test system.
Unlikely: Too high an HCG level is not going to cause a test to be negative.
Consult doctor: HCG should rapidly fall after a miscarriage. If HCG persists it likely means retained products, a new pregnancy and uncommonly, tumor of chorionic tissue. Please consult your doctor for an evaluation and appropriate action.
My hCG level was negative 10 day ago and today it is 600, is it possible to e that high if I just got pregnant this week?
BHCG: BHCG levels increase by 66% every 48 hours so it does not take long for the BHCG to get to 600.
