Med assit called and my throat culture was haemophilus parainfluenza 2. Worried because I don't know what this means. amoxicillin for 7 days so far.

See below: I am assuming you are being treated for pneumonia. The medications you are taking are often effective for H.influenza if given in adequate dosage. Depending of the antibiotic sensitivity testing you may need a change in treatment.
