Viral infections: Viral infections are common in children. Biggest issue is the continued Fever Phobia we have - belief the fever is harmful. It is not - it is how the body kills infection. Viral treatment is rest, fluids, and as needed Tylenol/motrin for pain/fever discomfort. Most improve by five days - some can break out into rash at end of infection.
