Trust the test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctor's office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. ...Read more

Could i be pregnant? I've missed my period for almost a month and have all the symptoms! and I've been pregnant before.I took 3 first response tests that came back negative! could i still be pregnant?

Yes, : Yes, you could still be pregnant. If you took the pregnancy tests early on and within relatively brief intervals, the HCG levels may have been too low for a home pregnancy test to detect. However, if you waited a week after your missed period to take the test and this was followed by repeat tests at intervals of a week or longer, than you may wish to talk to your ob/ gyn doctor. Your doctor can order a pregnancy blood test. ...Read more

Took two pregnancy tests but having a lot of symptoms. Also, first month of birth control?

What's question?: You don't really say what your question of concern is here. I get the feeling you are wondering if you are pregnant. If the two tests you took are past the due date for your period and were negative, you are not likely pregnant and need to look into other reasons for your symptoms. If really not convinced, ask doctor to do blood test to rule out pregnancy. ...Read more

The : The most likely answer is that you are not ovulating correctly. Ovulation sets the luteal phase, meaning that if you ovulate and do not get pregnant then a period starts due to the drop in progesterone. If you do not ovulate the luteal phase is abnormal, there is no drop in progesterone, and no signal goes to the uterus telling it there is no pregnancy. Pcos (polycystic ovarial syndrome) is a common reason for this, but other hormonal irregularities may be at play. You need a series of blood test including fsh, lh, tsh, t4, prolactin, fasting glucose and Insulin levels, dheas, testosterone (free and total), and sbg (sex binding globulin), you also need an ultrasound to view the uterine linning and the ovaries. Depending on these tests and weather you want to get pregnant right now or not would dictate your treatment plan. ...Read more
