TSH was 2.29 mlU/L 8 months ago now it's 1.92 mlU/L. Even though it's in normal range could that explain my low thyroid symptoms?
About my head pressure symptom and a partially empty sella. I also have a low thyroid function. Is this last related at my symptoms?
Possibly.: "empty sella" is a radiologic description of a sella not completely filled by pituitary gland. The function of the pituitary gland may or may not be normal. Your low thyroid function could be related but may also be unrelated. Please see your doc.
I've had blood tests, and had slightly low thyroid. I was put on levothyroxine, but didn't help. Was told to stop, still have symptoms, what to do?
Find another MD: if you have symptoms of low thyroid and labs also show low thyroid. It is low thyroid unless proven otherwise. If levothyroxine did not help look at internet and see which physician is familiar with armour thyroid. Where levothyroxine fails armour thyroid can be helpful. Or look for broda Barnes foundation to give you a referral
I'm on levothyroxine 50 mcg my last thyriod check was in range, is it possible to still have low thyroid symptoms ie hot sweats, feeling cold, fatigue?
Other causes: While abnormal thyroid function certainly can cause the symptoms you mention, there are other causes that could produce similar symptoms.. At your listed age and sex, the first thing that comes to mind are symptoms related to menopause. You may want ot talk to doc about hormone replacement treatment, which can be dietary, medication or both. Also, discuss other possibilities as well.See 1 more doctor answer

TSH is 5.21 FT4 and FT3 are normal Having symptoms of low thyroid, have well controlled lupus, hashimotos runs in my family Treat with meds or watch?
Hypothyroidism: An elevated TSH and normal FT4 is possibly due to subclinical hypothyroidism. What type of symptoms are you having exactly? Your doctor should check basic blood work to make sure there is no other explanation for your symptoms. A good physical exam of your thyroid to reveal any nodules, or goiter is very important. Thyroiditis is definitely a possibility.
Allopecia: If scalp hair loss called allopecia is due to hypothyroidism one can reverse it by normalizing thyroid function. Most of the time hypothyroidism is due to an autoimmune disorder called hashimotos disease. Allopcia is an accompanying autoimmune disorder and may not be due to low thyroid hormones. It's an association -- not causation.See 2 more doctor answers
Possibly/depends,,,,: This may be reversed depending on how severe and long-standing the thyroid issue is and how good a person's circulation is. Strict adherence to therapy would also help.
Can increased restless leg syndrome be a symptom of low thyroid hormones due to total thyroidectomy and no replacement meds yet?
Might: When you go through medical literature, you cannot find and paper to find a relation between RLS and hypothyroidism. It actually is a novel idea for research since there is a known relation between anemia and rls, and people with hypothyroidism develop anemia they also might develop rls.See 1 more doctor answer
