SaveItForABarbeque: Activated charcoal adsorbs lots of stuff but is not used for"food poisoning"unless due to a toxic chemical, not the type of food poisoning from bacteria or viruses. May take a while.: If you truly had a stomach infection then it will take a while to clear. The gas is all part of the process of getting back to normal. If you are having a lot of stress besides this can contribute to the gas and GI upset. You need to talk this over with your doc and plan the best treatment for you together.
