Hypothyroidism: The symptoms you have are more compatible with hypothyroid state. You are on the lowest dose yet and likely your doctor is adjusting it, just can't give a very high dose right away. Thyroid "normal": As you obviously know all your symptoms fit into hypothyroidism. What you may not know is that the so called normal range thyroid levels is rather broad. Just started on synthroid (thyroxine) (finally!!!) how long before symptoms improve (cold intolerance, brittle nails, hair falling out, constipation? What side effects should I watch for or expect? How long before dose increase?
I usually advise: my thyroid patients that it may be SEVERAl WEEKS for them to notice a "difference" and THAT is when I re-check the tests at 2 weeks to begin with!
