Hard : Hard to tell without a picture. Depends a bit on the orientation of the ridges (vertical vs. Horizontal). Vertical ridging running the length of the nail is common (genetically) and also typically a normal sign of aging, whereas horizontal ridging is caused by other factors. Go to ER: Bradycardia (pulse under 60) with elevated blood pressure and symptomatic palpitations = cardiovascular event. Hospital can monitor if you are hemodynamically stable and find out why you are experiencing these symptoms. Sounds like an Arrhythmia. We need an Ekg and labs stat! ...Read more
