Advice: The Tysabri (natalizumab) will not make you infection necessarily worse, and you should be treated by your doctor in the standard approaches for colds or flus. Since viral infections might cause fever, worsening your symptoms, high temps should be controlled. Notify your neurologist, as a virus can promote a true relapse, also, and get meds, if your symptoms worsen longer than 24 hrs. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Can primary genital herpes present with one swollen inguinal node with no other symptoms? No lesions, discharge, itching, etc. Doc visit saw nothing.
Very unlikely: Initial genital herpes can cause inguinal node inflammation, but rarely a single node. Almost always bilateral and preceded by obvious genital lesions etc. Isolated inguinal lymphadenopathy is usually due to inflammation of the leg on the same side, often as minor as an ingrown toenail. Cat scratch disease is a common cause in cat owners. See doctor if painful, persists 2+ days, or if any fever. ...Read more

Pain in chest one doc says acid reflux or h pilori other doc says costicongitis had pain for six months?
Child needs care: It always concerns me when a child this age has sore throat and fever because of the risk of a strep infection. Untreated strep throat can cause complications like rheumatic heart disease. Also, your doctor needs to examine the throat for abscess and/or swelling that could endanger the airway. If a strep test isn't available, I recommend a 10 day course of a penicillin antibiotic. ...Read more
Any docs familiar with Tumefactive Multiple Sclerosis? Ever seen a persistently enhancing lesion? 4cm lesion 5yrs enhancement. RR symptoms. 5 OCB.
Generic response: "Tumefactive" lesions are not uncommon in MS, and may be associated with even very potent medications. From your description, would presume your diagnosis is correct for R/R MS, but the lesion in question may be a co-morbidity, such as a vascular malformation, a brain glioma, or even a nidus of infection, such as abscess. Need to see your neurologist and go through careful and thorough testing. ...Read more

34 yo wf, no chronic health conditions. Had GI virus x 48 hrs, now w/midsternal CP, almost colicky?
Need an examination: Mid-sternal chest pain in a 34 y/o female is unlikely to be caused by coronary artery disease. However this is not impossible particularly if a heavy smoker. There are other conditions that can cause chest pain but it would be unwise for me to list them here and for you to try and self diagnose your condition. You need to see a physician ASAP to see if anything serious is causing your pain. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
