May be the start: Of something bigger! you don't list your age, pertinent medical history, or meds, so base this is the first time this has happened. When you have ankle swelling for no reason, it could be due to several things, and most importantly, it is not normal, and involves fluid going into the extracellular space. Can be related to your kidney function or heart, and/or possibly too much salt retention, or walking too long.
