Here are some. ..: How long the scrotal swelling after inguinal hernia repair may last varies widely although it would usually resolve in 1-3 weeks. So, it's reasonable to be patient, wait and see as long as the degree of swelling and related discomfort is slowly but surely getting better day by day. But, if still in doubt, see the surgeon for clarifying what you may have in mind. Best wish. ..
Lt inguinal hernia surgery 6 weeks ago. Dr says can return to work. Work involves lifting over 10 Pds. Left testicle still swollen. Ok return to work?

Why would the testicle be hard and swollen a month after inguinal hernia surgery? Swelling has remained the same about 2 weeks. Little change!
I just had hiatal hernia surgery 4 days and my penis and testicles are swollen and purplish is this normal after surgery?
Not likely: Just to clarify, did you have a hiatal hernia or inguinal hernia repair. Inguinal hernias are in the groin and their repair laparoscopically can definitely result in bruising and swelling of the penis and scrotum. During hiatal hernia repair, no good reason for your symptoms. If you had a catheter in your bladder during surgery then this could possibly cause the swelling and bruising.See 4 more doctor answers

No: Usually pain in the testicle, if it occurs at all is not normal. You should talk to the surgeon who did the operation.
Just had hernia surgery - 6 weeks ago. But lately, I've been feeling a little soreness in my right testicle.
Post op swelling: This may be part of normal post op recovery after hernia surgery, of course if its on the same side as the surgery. If your surgeon manipulated the cord and placed mesh some discomfort may be ok at 6 weeks. However if you have significant swelling, worsening pain or persistent bruising you should go to surgeon to be examined.See 2 more doctor answers
