Swollen lymph nodes, sore neck, splitting headache-worsened moving neck, midgrade fever, sore throat, vomiting, night sweats, chills?

Internet?: Hi. Girl, I'm sold! Something may be wrong beyond a "cold"! Will you PLEASE go see a doctor in person for a good evaluation and diagnostic tests? We in internetville cannot do the diagnostics. I hope it's nothing serious, but I've seen conditions present like that, that ARE serious. An in-person physician is what you need with real in-person blood tests, and who knows what else for diagnostics. ...Read more

Possible mononucleos: Swollen lymph nodes, especially if there is some tenderness and some degree of associated temperatures points to infection. Sneezing, itchy eyes. I wake up with a sore throat, I have swollen lymph nodes in neck for awhile. What could be the cause? Allergies

Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well. ...Read more
