What can be the cause of swollen retroperitoneal paraaortic aortocaval nodes with chronic lowerback pain, no infection?
Swollen inguinal lymph node, and it feels firm, though it is less than 2cm. It's been there for 3 days. Not sick. Should i be concerned?
Other symptoms?: A rash in that area can cause a swollen lymph node. Do you have any new bruising, fatigue, large lymph nodes anywhere else, fevers, night sweats or unintentional weight loss? If any of these, you need to see doc now. If really not sick (like you said), you could watch this. If it increases in size any more, i would have a doc look at it. Otherwise, lymph nodes can take 1-2 months to go away. ...Read more

I need help with knowing why my inguinal lymph nodes could be swollen. Ultrasound said it was smaller than 1cm. Now the other side is swollen ?
Inguinal nodes: Prominent inguinal lymph nodes are not unusual and may be remnants of prior inflammatory processes. However these old burnt out nodes should not be large, increasing in size or new lymph node enlargement occurring. An examination of your neck and armpits should be done to look for other lymphadenopathy and a complete blood count and mononucleosis test would be done also. Discuss this with your MD. ...Read more

My inguinal lymph nodes on both sides have been swollen for a year. Blood tests last year showed nothing. What could it be & should I get more tests?
Probably nothing: As a kid and a young doctor, my groin nodes were always big especially in the summer from going barefoot. Yes, that'll do it. If they're not more than a few cm across, don't look like golf balls buried in there, aren't fixed firmly to the nearby structures, and aren't expecially tender or painful, and you don't feel sick, they're best ignored. What you describe is very common. Best wishes. ...Read more
