Pain: There is a joint at the base of your pinky toe. The joint my be swollen or inflammed. I would wear loose fitting shoes, apply ice twice a day for 10-15 minutes and take some OTC medicine like Advil or Motrin. If still painful after 10-14 days seek a specialist. ...Read more

Sounds like a tailor: bunion. It is caused by improper footwear. It is at the base of the little toe. Usually we see this in people with a"splay foot". This means when your foot hits the ground the forefoot widens. Have 2 look for this barefooted. If dress shoes & heelx make it more sore that is most likely the problem. ...Read more

Ice it: Definately could be broken, would recommend seeing a foot doc who will xray and possibly splint the digit and dispense a surgical shoe. The reason for the xray is to see if the joint is dislocated, if the fracture is intraarticular or if displaced. ...Read more

Might need 2 B seen.: Fluid doesn't accumulate without a cause. Typically, it's a reaction to an injury or irritation of some sort. You must consider trauma, infection, insect bite or frictional causes, to name a few. There may be some similarities in the symptoms for each, but other symptom can't be discounted. Soften: If it is a corn, then soaking your foot in warm water for 10 min or so should soften it so you can file it off. If not then see a podiatrist. Could be an early infection. ...Read more
