Tested neg for HIV at 4 weeks, now 6 months later I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck that mildly hurt when touched. Do I have hiv? Partner testd ng
Impossible: First we would never, ever guess about HIV. Having swollen lymph nodes does not in any way diagnose one as being HIV positive. Second, you did not test correctly for HIV and the test you report was a complete and absolutely invalid test. It was done two months too soon. Because of this you must do another HIV test. At six months the results will be valid. ...Read more

I have swollen lymph nodes, my wbc is 13.4, neutron 83.5, lymph 9.0, and neutron abs 11.16.... the ER said I was fine. my whole body hurts. what now??

Get diagnosis. No ER: The ER doctor probably said, "you don't have an emergency". It's true.. with numbers like this, you most likely have a viral infection. But that depends on the number, size, & location of the swollen lymph nodes that you point out. Talk to your regular doctor or use HealthTap Prime to find a diagnosis. Don't attempt to play doctor yourself. If nodes are large enough, biopsy can be done to help out ...Read more

Whats the main cause of swollen lymph nodes in your neck? Im just getting over a cold and recently it hurts on right side when i swallow. Get checked?

Dr. can check throat: Throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat). Throat lozenges and Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin can help decrease throat pain. ...Read more

Lymphadenopathy: Lymph nodes swell and fluctuate usually due to the inflammatory reaction of infection. Pain also usually means infection and not cancer. I have swollen lymph nodes on the side of my neck and behind ear. Some of them hurt. I have had them for a month. Is this serious?

Likely benign, but: The neck is a very common place for mild lymph node enlargements. We do about 5-6 lymph node biopsies a day-from the neck-and most of them are benign. However if rapid growth is noted, or if bigger than 3cm, or if other symptoms develop you need to have it checked. The most common cause of enlarged lymph nodes in the neck are a viral illness, a dental infection, skin infection and "other". ...Read more

I have a favor blister and swollen lymph nodes On my right side What do I need to do it just started two days ago but it hurts to open my jaw?

Here is what I sugge:
Fever blisters are common but they are self limiting and typically go away within 5-7 days. All you need to do just now is take a pain medicine if the pain is bothering you. Tylenol 2 tablets will relieve the pain for 6-8 hours....so it can be repeated 2 or 3 times a day.
If you are not feeling better in 2-3 days, go see your doctor for further evaluation.
