However some lymph nodes will swell and remain palpable. This is usually not a concern. However, if they become big or spongy that can be a sine of lymphoma. Get checked! ...Read more

More info: So you actually feel a lump - is that correct? How long has it been there? Days/weeks? Do you have fevers/chills/weight loss? If there is no palpable lump; " intermittent pulling sensation " can be due to many other causes - so have you done any heavy lifting/exercise recently?
