Go see an ENT doctor: It could be just repeated viral infections(colds) but you need to be sure that you do not have strept throat. A visit to your ENT doctor can help. If you want to try controlling it on your own, i wiould sugges that you try taking vitamin c, 500mg daily and give it a 6 month trial(it is pretty cheap vitamin). This may help, in which case you should continue taking it on a regular basis. ...Read more

FNA: Hi. Of course you could have a viral or bacterial upper respiratory tract infection (which would usually have accompanying symptoms), so waiting several weeks to recheck is fine. However, with your history, I'd be tempted to do FNAs of the large lymph nodes for cytology and include needle washing for thyroglobulin. Talk with your endocrinologist who's running the show.
