FNA: Hi. Of course you could have a viral or bacterial upper respiratory tract infection (which would usually have accompanying symptoms), so waiting several weeks to recheck is fine. However, with your history, I'd be tempted to do FNAs of the large lymph nodes for cytology and include needle washing for thyroglobulin. Talk with your endocrinologist who's running the show. Bx if necessary: Rule is that if there is a cancer that is left alone it will GROW on you. If there are questionable unchanged lumps in the face and neck for 5 years they can not be of concern. If they enlarge, become painful or increase in number then bx is indicated. ...Read more

Are they getting big: Ger or staying the same? Any pain or other symptoms? The fact that u/s & lab work was done, indicates you have seen your gp. The best way for a complete diagnosis is a biopsy to get some tissue from the swelling. You should go to a surgeon and have this done.
