FNA: Hi. Of course you could have a viral or bacterial upper respiratory tract infection (which would usually have accompanying symptoms), so waiting several weeks to recheck is fine. Must be evaluated: There is no way for you personally to know the cause of swollen lymph nodes in your neck. You should visit your doctor the great majority of the time, they are coming from an infection in your throat, mouth, face, or even infection in the nodes themselves.
