Lymph nodes: The lymph nodes usually enlarge as response to an infection in the vicinity.It lasts maximum 2-3 weeks and as the infection goes away (with antibiotics usually) the lymph nodes disappear. Outside this scenario, i would be worried and demand further investigation (ct is appropriate, a blood smear and CBC with differential, as well as a bmp with enzymes markers analysis) up to an excision biopy. ...Read more

Lymph nodes: Probably not. Probably they are reactive lymph nodes- either from chronic inflammation on the throat or something in your mouth like gum inflammation or tooth problems etc. Since they have been there for 7 months- next time you see your doctor bring this up so your md can examine them. If you're worried or if they grow , absolutely you should see your md sooner to evaluate more. ...Read more

Need more info: Not possible to answer this question based on limited information. Would depend on a lot of different factors, most importantly your history of recent sexual encounters, number of partners, whether you used protection, etc. If there is any concern for risky sexual behavior would recommend getting tested. ...Read more
