I have a extremely small bump on my testicle. I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck, jaw, groin and armpit. Do I have cancer I'm really worried?
Medical checkup reco: You need a medical examination to help you find out what all your symptoms are due to. The size of the lymph nodes matters in assessing seriousness of your condition. Actual number?: It depends on how low the lymph is and how high the eos count is. A viral infection can cause low lymph whereas allergic reactions can cause high eos. This figure may also be a reflection of the total WBC. For example, if the WBC is 20% below average, then a 20% rise in eos may well be normal. You need to see your doctor about this condition. ...Read more
Swollen lymph nodes in neck and a hard, movable lump in armpit. Normal CBC from one week ago. Any idea what it can be? Very anxious right now.

Lymphadenopathy: Lymph nodes can enlarge for many reasons. Their purpose is to help fight infection and other inflammatory conditions and these may cause enlargement of the nodes. They can also suggest primary tumors of the lymphatic system. The only way to clearly differentiate is to biopsy, but most clinicians will not do this without a high degree of suspicion as to a malignant condition. ...Read more
What do you suggest if my son (3) has swollen lymph nodes in neck and groin but bloods all normal should I still be worried?
Depends on situation: Lymph glands generally swell after stimulation and can do so after a general illness, vaccinations, or if limited to one area, some local factors. If they enlarge and gradually shrink back to resting size within 3-4 weeks, they are behaving normally. You have done the initial baseline workup, so I would give it time and recheck if it persists too long. ...Read more

At this age, we see fever with certain group of lymph node enlargement, like neck, under chin, behind ears and some other areas. Cause is mostly of viral. Been to dr at least 6 times for swollon lymph nodes in neck and groin. All say they are "shotty nodes". Now I found another node in my armpit. Cancer?
Why so many times?: If you had cancer in your lymph glands, they would have continued to enlarge, leading your doctor to do a biopsy. Unless the lymph nodes are growing and become bigger than 1.5 to 2cm (one inch), it is hard to think of them as cancerous (normal nodes can be palpable as you have felt them yourself). Please quit feeling for them as it only makes you more nervous and anxious. Get checked 1-2 times/yr. ...Read more
