No: Unprotected sex is only a problem if the male partner is uncircumcised. Here the foreskin can harbor both HPV and HIV. In either instance developing the infectious process could take months. It depends: We need to know more . How long have you had these nodes and what is their size? Are they increasing in size? if they are bigger than 2 Cm and increasing in size in 1 to 2 months, you need to be examined by a physician. 2 options: If he is seemingly healthy, active, appetite good and no other symptoms, I would recommend watchful waiting. If any concurrent symptoms, he just isn't himself, poor growth or weight loss, fevers, then I would suggest a biopsy of one of the nodes. Make sure he has also had a TB test done as well.
