Possibly: Reason for ordering an MRI of chest. The presence of several lymph nodes suggests more than a localized process. Nodes along the chest bone represent internal mammary nodes which usually drain tumor cells from medial breast. When para tracheal nodes are added if significant should suggest possible lymphoma. NO: This should not be related to a hormonal problem. Usually when a lymph node (if that is what it is) enlarges as a response to infection or inflammation of which there can be many causes. Quite a few causes: Chestwall itself, esophagus/stomache, lungs, heart, pancreas, and even liver problems can cause chest pain. In the young, more likely chestwall itself or reflux is causing pain.
