Deoxygenated blood enters the lungs from the right side of the heart and travels to the lungs. At the same time, co2 diffuses into the capilaries and is expelled with exhalation. Oxygen rich blood then flows to the left side of the heart and into the ...Read more
Lung tumor: Chest or mediastinal lymph nodes associated with a lesion in the lung most often represent metastasis from a lung primary. This can further be defined by mediastinoscopy and lymph node biopsy or if in the proper position, thoracoscopy removing the lung nodule. I have had swollen lymph nodes on my neck and parotiditis, now they found a mass in my lung and half is not working?
Maybe sarcoidosis?: ..Usually a benign condition, but can cause lung or other organ scarring in a small % of patients. It also sounds like you have a doctor, and for the complex situation you describe, you are better off asking questions of docs who know your history, than trying to figure it out online. I tell my patients, use information from the internet to get the questions to ask your doc, not the answers. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have swollen lymph nodes , runny nose , frequent cough , and high fever and weeze noise In lungs , what could this be?
Probably cold or flu: Probably just a bad cold or flu. But with "high fever" you need to contact your doctor. Maybe s/he will want to examine you to check for bronchitis or pneumonia that might need an antibiotic. If chills, shortess of breath, if you cough up any blood, or if you have other lung disease like asthma, do it now, even though it's Sunday pm. Otherwise it should be safe to wait until tomorrow. Good luck! ...Read more
I have three swollen lymph nodes on my left inner thigh. They have been there april of 2011. I have chest pain and get sick about 4 times a month?
It depends on size: Unless these nodes are large(more than 2cm) you do not need to worry. But many diseases affect lymph nodes. Some of the considerations include infections(tb, sarcoid, fungal infections), lymph gland cancers like lymphomas or cancer spread from the lungs or elsewhere in the body. But i would not worry unless they are large enough as the radiologists often over read them anytime they are >0.5cm. ...Read more

Monitoring Centers: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well. ...Read more

If i had a CBC and chest xray in december and they were clear, should I be concerned of swollen lymph nodes in my neck? What could be causing them?
Lymphadenopathy: Multiple enlarged lymph nodes in the neck can be residual of a viral illness but they should shrivel over time. In my experience this is more common in younger patients. In adults, if they don't recede or if they enlarge further a biopsy is often done to see what the pathology is. A normal CBC and chest xray isn't enough to rule out some diseases. Follow up with your md. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Stress/lymph nodes?: Stress did not cause the lymphnodes, but can cause poor sleep and thus tiredness etc... Small nodes around your neck, if the come and go etc..Then not likely to be serious--often viral illnesses do that. If they are persistent and enlarging in sizes, consult with your doc. In the meantime, stress relief, eat well, sleep well will make you feel better. Good luck. ...Read more
