Lump behind ear: Could mean a lot of things. Would first have your doctor check out your ears, nose and throat for possible ear or sinus/throat infection. It might not even be a node. Other considerations are cysts, sterile abscess or lipoma, benign or malignant tumors can also present like this. Some manage by "empiric" antibiotics, but a careful exam for source, possible aspiration for culture may yield results. Probable folliculiti: You probably have ingrown hair folllicles causes small pimples---the lymph gland is reactive to the skin and not very surprising.
This could be helped with an oral antibiotic.
