Possible cyst: May be a cyst, which is a small fluid filled structure. They can develop in many different areas of the body. If the area isn't painful and if it doesn't grow larger, you can probably ignore it. However if it grows larger haver a doctor check it. ...Read more

See foot doc: it sounds like you have an exostosis (bone spur) which is putting pressure on a local nerve causing the numbness. The recommendation likely will be to shave away the bump if my assessment is correct. ...Read more

Ganglion cyst?: Sounds like this could be a ganglion cyst (fluid filled bump). Does it move around? Could be interfering with a nerve causing the "fuzzy" feeling in the toes. Usually there is no bruising with a ganglion unless the cause was trauma. This should be checked out by your physician. You can never be too cautious about bumps or lumps. ...Read more

Get checked: You could have a fracture and there is no way to be sure without an x-ray. Don't walk on it, if it hurts. If we could tell whether or not you had a fracture by reading your description or just by looking at the outside of your foot, then x-rays would not have been invented! Get checked so you know how badly you are injured and how long it will take to heal, too! Hope it's nothing major! ...Read more

Since you state you hurt foot, i would recommend trying rest with elevation, cold pack, compression with ace wrap, elevation.
