Find a way: You can't afford NOT to see a dentist or physician. Amoxicillin or other antibiotics alone aren't going to fix this, and you are risking a more serious problem that could even be life threatening. Check options like a community clinic or the local health department, where help may be available despite inability to pay, or maybe enroll you in medicaid or othe rinsurance (even in Texas!). Swollen lymph node: Likely it is a swollen lymph node. No you don't have to worry now. Swollen lymph node can happen as a reaction to infection, inflammation, trauma etc. Do you have any earaches, any trauma to the ear etc? It should go away in about 1-2 weeks. If it gets bigger and persists longer than 3-4 weeks- then you go to see your doctor.If you have ear infection or has ear discharge- you should see your doc. ...Read more

Infection: You have a serious severe infection. Antibiotic will not cure it, only control spread of infection for as long as you take the Meds. When you stop, infection will come roaring back.
