I was in a car accident & my MRI results was a herniated dish in my up neck & a swollen in my lower neck rubbing against my spine any self care tips?
There R no self care: tips on disk disease of the spine @ any level after trauma. B eval by a spine surgeon & follow the advice U R given. If U mean just things 2 avoid, auto accidents, contact sports, snowmobile, 4 wheelers, toboggans & the list is long. Evaluation: I would recommend an evaluation with a spine specialist. You at least need X-rays to see if you sustained a bony injury to the posterior spinal anatomy from the injury. Considering the injury was >4 months ago, you may need a MRI or CT evaluation. Mirgraines, Disc dz: This is a complex case as you are very young and there may be more than one diagnosis is going on. These could be part of occipital neuralgia, polymyalgia rheumatica or degenerative disc disease with radiculopathy. Likewise the migraine complex may not be set off by cervical or spine disease.
