Swollen Lower Eyelid Gland
I have repeated swollen eyelid gland that hurts, I bath them in hot water for a few days, this seems to cure it, only to return a week or so later?
Hordeolum?: I presume your eyelid is affected by a sty or dysfunctional meibom glands that respond to warm compresses and cleansing, but only to return after you discontinue. It's good that their is response. Continue the warm compresses, lid hygiene with baby shampoo, gentle eyelid massage daily. Consider taking fish oil. Check out a YouTube video on blepharitis treatment. If no help, an exam is very useful.
Doc said I have a blocked gland on my lower eyelid and to massage it. It's been two weeks and hasn't gone away. What other treatments can I do @home?
Chalazion: Is a blocked eyelid gland which forms a small lump inside the lid. If warm compresses don't help, occasionally a course of oral antibiotics will shrink the lump. If this doesn't help, then you may benefit from a minor procedure done in the office. A small amount of anesthetic is injected into the eyelid and the lump is opened from the inside surface of the lid.See 1 more doctor answer
How long can squamous cell cancer of the lower eyelid go untreated before it spreads to lymph glands or the eye itself?
Get it treated now: Every day that a cancer is neglected makes it more difficult to treat. If you have pressing business, you may wait a few weeks.
The last two days my lower eyelid has been swollen. I put a cold compress on it & when I wake up in the morning it's even more swollen. What is this?
Blepharitis: You have something called blepharitis. This is most likely caused by a bacterial infection, though non-infectious causes also exist. Continue doing the warm compresses, and keep the eyelids clean of any crusting. Probably also need to treat with an antibiotic, and thus should see your doctor, especially since this is getting worse. Avoid eye makeup and contacts, if you wear them.
My lower eyelid is slightly swollen and itchy. What could be causing this? And what can I do to cure it?
My right lower eyelid is a bit swollen and hurts. Please advise what it can be and what should I use to fix. Thanks in advance.
Chalazion (stye): A distinct nodule with tenderness and redness of the lid is often a stye (chalazion). Warm compresses x 30 minutes 2 x/day often helps. Also, 1/2 cup of rice in a knee high pantyhose that is microwaved for 15 seconds (and testing on the skin to make sure it is not too hot) is useful. Recurrent chalazia or ones that do not respond to heat need to be seen by an ophthalmologist +/- biopsy.
What can I do for my lower eyelid? It's swollen, partially red, hurts to blink, tender to touch, and it's all on the inner corner.
Stye: This sounds like a stye. Treat it with very warm (not hot) washcloths held over the closed lid for 4 minutes at a time every two hours. This usually works but if it persists more than 3-4 days, see your ophthalmologist.
Lower eyelid became irritated Thursday, slightly worse yesterday, now mildly swollen, stinging, mild crusting last night, not very pink. Pinkeye?
Could be: Pink eye in general means that you have a severe virus that causes significant itchiness. Most people however with a crusting, eye redness, lid swelling have an unstable tear film from blepharitis. See Eyedoc2020.blogspot. Com "lid hygiene" on how to use warm compresses & diluted tea tree oil scrubs on closed lashes to help.See 2 more doctor answers
Swollen, unilateral lower eyelid for ~1 week now. Itchy and some dry skin but no pain, discharge, or change in vision. What should I try?
Warm compresses: If it doesn't help then see you doctor
Stye: At your age, this is probably a stye. This is a blocked gland in the substance of the lid which will produce a red swelling on the inside of the lid. If advanced it may swell the whole lid. To treat, use very warm washcloths socked from your water tap (not too hot). for about 5 minutes at a time, 5 times per day for several days. This will usually get rid of it.
My lower eyelid (left eye) is slightly swollen and there is like a round white puss on the inside.
What do you suggest if my eye hurts and there is a swollen bump inside my lower eyelid. What is it?
Was rubbing my eyelid lightly due to tiredness and fellt a pop now my lower eyelid red and swollen and sore to the touch?
Eye irritation: I am sorry to hear about your eye pain, how long has this been going on? Many times the mucous membranes can make a clicking noise when the wet surfaces of the membrane and the eye are in contact and are rubbed apart. Initially, I would not be too worried about the 'pop' you heard unless your symptoms are not improving. You may try warm or cool eye compresses with a clean washcloth initially.
My inner eye is swollen, just on the lower eyelid though, and hurts when I blink or out the slightest bit of pressure on it, do you know what it is?
It sounds like you: Might have a STY. It would be appropriate to see a health care professional for evaluation since we cannot see or examine you over the internet. This should be easily and inexpensively treated once you are diagnosed. Don't delay.
I popped a stye on my outer lower eyelid after using hot compresses and it came to a head now it is really swollen how do I get the swelling to go dow?
Ice the area: And see your doctor asap. There is a chance it could have gotten infected and you may need to be on antibiotics.See 1 more doctor answer
The stye on the inside of my lower eyelid just popped itself, should I be worried? It's still swollen. Should I get eye drops or just leave it?
Drainage is good: Lucky for you that your stye spontaneously popped and drained. You can accelerate the rest of the healing with frequent application of warm (not hot) soaks. Antibiotics are of no help. You can use lubricating eye drops to help keep the area clear and clean.
My Lower eyelid is swollen, are there any ways to make it go down? Went to eye doc & he gave me eyedrops but I have plans tonight.... Need it gone.

I have swollen lower eyelid and fever (102f). Do I need to see a doctor? Or take tylenol (acetaminophen) and an antistaminic?
See a doctor: You could have a sinus infection, and / or pre-septal cellulitis. I would see a doctor soon.
