Left side of abdomen below/under ribs to the midline is swollen and very painful. Left ribcage noticeably risen when lying. Help.
Noticed little squishy lump on left side of neck a week ago. Now have a lump / swollen? (different from right side) on my left lower ribcage.

May be reflux: The bad taste in your mouth and the pain you describe could be a stomach problem with GERD (reflux of stomach acid up towards mouth). See primary care doc: I am not sure which doctors you have seen, where, or under what circumstances, but you should establish the diagnosis with a doctor who you see regularly (a primary care doctor) NOT the ER doctor. If they refused the MRI, they did you a service if the CT scan is neg, the MRI probably will show nothing.
