Dry mouth, lips, throat. Knee/shoulder pain. Negative Ro/SS-A, La/SS-B and ANA and Rosa bengal test. Normal US parotid gland. Can still be Sjogren?
Yes: Stop the phenylbutazone as this can cause an aplastic anemia. Make sure your thyroid function tests are normal as well. That said, you can treat the dry eyes with meds suck as Salagen or Evoxac (cevimeline) and see if they help. Dry mouth alone makes Sjogrens unlikely but still possible, even with negative blood tests. In this situation, a lip biopsy can be helpful. ...Read more
Can acute sinusitis cause extreme left neck gland swelling, right is also swollen but not as severe. Sinusitis is unresponsive so far to 2weeks amox.
Reevaluation: I would get that checked out. It sounds like what you may have may be resistant to amoxicillin, or you may have something else going on. The swelling may just be swollen lymph nodes, but if it is still ongoing after 2 weeks of antibiotics, you should be examined. Good luck! ...Read more

Muscular Pain?: Hi, your recent onset of symptoms and your age suggest that at this point the most likely diagnosis is that you have a shoulder/upper back/neck strain. Weird feeling in the back of head after throbbing. Now have slight throb in the left temple. Neck and shoulder pain too.
C-spine disease: This sounds more like a cervical radiculopathy type of pain with a resultant tension type of headache and radiation of the nerve to the shoulders. Still you have to be seen so as not to miss anything more severe. A good exam and a good advise is best as the pain may be simple to treat as a symptom but the underlying disease may not be as easy. Go to your md. ...Read more
