I have red, itchy bites on my legs, ankles, and feet. They hurt and I'm not sure what bite me and now they are swollen. What should I do?

I think you are on: the right track thinking that this could be Athlete's Foot. Making sure, probably by seeing a Podiatrist or Foot Specialist, might be your best first step. I can't tell from your question if your soles are also red and swollen or NOT red and swollen. If yes, a rare condition called erythromelalgia might be considered.
