Good morning I had notice this morning (suddenly)that I have one swollen lymph nodes on each side of my groin area( female),what could this be?
Possible tumor: Bilaterality of nodal disease in the groin is inflammatory or neoplastic. How large are the nodes and how firm?. Inflammation is tender. Tumor not tender. Area around anus should be checked for perianal lesion . If lesion is considered suspicious , the node must be removed for dx rather than needle bx which can be misinterpreted. ...Read more

I have been diagnosed with bilateral inguinal lymphadenopathy. But my inguinal lymph nodes do not hurt at all? Does this diagnosis sound right?
Need work-up: Bilateral inguinal lymphadenopathies-mean-you have lymph nodes enlargement that are located on both groins area. Now, it is not a diagnosis-it is just a sign/clinical finding. Diagnosis still has to be made. Generalised lymphadenopathy with 8 or so swollen lymph nodes, no more than 2cm, fevers that come and go, loss of appetite, low white/red blood count?

Lymphadenopathy: When lymph nodes enlarge it is often due to their performing their designated function in helping to fight off an inflammatory process.
