If the lymph nodes are related to the thyroid problem a biopsy of the nodes may give us the answer. Pituitary gland: How do u know your gland is inflamed? Did u have a ct scan or mri? Do you have pituitary symptoms such a galactorrhea? Are u under the care of a doc who ordered an imaging study? Corticosteroids have been suggested but have not proven effective. Hormone therapy as needed is used. Sometimes surgery is required if gland presses other structures or stops making needed hormones.
