Swollen glands: You can take antiinflammatories for the pain and swelling, but get examined to evaluate these swollen glands and any potential source on why they are swollen.

Lymph nodes: Your gland could be swollen for a number of reasons. Activation of the virus that causes the ulcers on your lip or any other weakening of your immune system that led to the cold sores showing up. If you glands stay swollen for more than 2 weeks, go see your doctor for an exam

Infected lymph nodes: Could be infected lymph nodes from a scalp infection. Could be a sebaceous cyst that is inflammed--tho with 3 of them it is unlikely. If they remain painful see a dr--may need an antibiotic

Bug bites? Shots?: Glandular swelling can be a non specific response to vaccines or systemic viral illnesses, even if there are no other outward signs of the illness. Bug bites or skin rashes can also lead to regional node swelling.

Toppled in chair, fell from a height of about 4 feet and hit his head on floor. 36 hrs later, has a fever, is very tired, and has swollen glands.

Not related?: The fever and swollen glands are most likely not related to the head injury but I would have the little guy checked to be sure. When he fell was he knocked out or dazed? Or did he scream immediately? Usually if they cry right away that is a good sign. Either way, see a doctor.

I think I have a Dysplastic Nevi in my head but I also have swollen glands (painless) on back of head can it be related if it is its dangerous?

See your doctor: IT can be related but more than likely its not. It not always the size of the lymph node but its more the quality. IS it hard to touch, is it mobile, is it growing? Go see dermatologist and you'll have more definitive answer

See your physician: The best and most important thing to do is to see your physician. There are many things which can cause your symptoms but as a hematologist I would want to make sure you do not have something like a lymphoma (given your age possibly hodgkins lymphoma). Your physician can do a physical examination, take an appropriate history and order relevant tests and referrals to determine what is happening.

My daughter has reddish yellow puss blisters on her head and very swollen glands along her hair line. They itch. I've used head and shoulders shampoo.

Needs a visit: This is either a significant infection by bacteria or could also be scalp fungus with added bacteria. It will improve with washing but is likely to need prescription meds for a core.

Muscle spasm: Sounds like your neck muscles that extend up into your scalp are irritated. This may have been triggered when the lymph nodes rapidly enlarged. Why is another question - they respond to perceived threats to your body like infection. Moist heat, mild stretching and some ibuprofen might help. Massages good too. If continues or worsens see your MD. Http://www. Webmd. Com/pain-management/guide/neck-shoulder

Sore throats: It seems you have a sore throat, most likely caused by a virus. If a sore throat lasts more than 3-4 days you should see a Dr. For now, rest, drink fluids, and gargle with warm salt water.

Taking bactrimds for impetigo. Few days ago pain/press. Behind eyes, nausea, swollen glands back of head, fever, bodyaches, flu shot in sept. Ideas?

Sinus infection?: Pain behind your eyes is typical for a sinus infection. The nausea, sweats, chills and body aches could be signs of a bacterial or viral infection, including the flu or mono. The flu shot protects 50-70% of healthy adults, so you can still get the flu, which is a virus. If it's a bacterial infection of your sinuses, Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) likely isn't enough. Either way, you're very ill, so please call your doc!

Swollen glands on left side of neck congestion in nose and head tooth abcess on left side swollen tonsills? Listings angina or sinus. Infection?

You need help: Dental abscess will not repair itself. Call your dentist before infection gets worse. Sinus infection, nasal congestion, etc, is a medical, not a dental, issue. Make appointment w your physician. Swollen glands may be due to either or both. You need help...Please make the necessary appointments.
