Swollen Glands In The Armpit
I have been waking up for the past month feeling off, keep getting re-occuring swollen glands in my armpits and mild headaches, what could this be?
Virus? Mono?: Lymph nodes ("glands") cannot come and go so often. Once actually swelling occurs, it will always last at least 1-2 weeks. So it is unlikely that explains your feeling "recurring" glands over a month. However, your symptoms could reflect some sort of viral infection like mononucleosis (glandular fever), or any number of other conditions. See your GP if your symptoms continue.
Need to first make d: First you need to have your doctor make the diagnosis of what is the cause of enlarged nodes. This will need further testing. The treatment will be guided by the diagnosis. So get a full check up done by a specialist.

I have a swollen gland in my armpit. I am constantly touching it. Now it is sore. Can a gland get sore and more swollen by constantly touching it?
Yes: You can cause the release of histamine, and you can increase the irritation.
Infection: This suggests infection - either localized "boils" in the underarms from shaving and/or ingrown hairs; or a symptom of a larger, systemic infection somewhere in the shoulder/breast region, or a generalized infection. Any other swollen nodes? Any fevers, rashes? If still present in a week, this should be checked out by your doctor.
Go to your doctor fo: A medical examination is necessary unless you have had a viral head cold or sore throat recently, which can cause the neck nodes to swell up. But if your armpit nodes are swollen and are painless then you must see a doctor soon to find out the cause. Also examine your breast for any lumps and make sure that you do not have any lump/ growth in your breast.
I am a 55 year old male. I have what appears to be a lump under my armpit. GP checked for swollen glands in neck and armpit and saw no swelling.?
Confusing: If your GP was not able to palpate a lump, then is it gone?? Did you try and show him/her where it was located?? Anyway, chances are it is a reactive lymph node which should go away within a week. Suggest seeing your GP again if it is still there after 2 weeks

Since I was about 12, now 36 I get ugly headaches, sporadic swollen glands (armpits), (later also with sore breasts) & always tired. Please help.
Cannot diagnose: This requires a detailed history (write down all relevant info), and visit to a good family doctor or general internist for a physical exam, possible imaging studies and labs and full diagnostic evaluation. This cannot be solved over the internet and you must see somebody face to face. Good luck.
I have lots of gallstones and swollen painful glands in armpit, groin and vargina could they all be related?? I've had theses symptoms for bout 6 yrs

Throat feels congested, no cough or runny nose, swollen glands in jaw, back, groin and armpit. Infection?
Yes: If this has been present for no more than 2 weeks, a viral infection is the likely cause. If the symptoms go beyond that or are getting worse, see your doctor.

Need to see doc: You need to go back to your doctor and have her or him take another look. You also need to ask about the results of the previous biopsy. Any lump in the breast or armpit needs to be taken seriously and evaluated by a professional. This may be completely benign but it is best to make sure. All the best, ariel.See 1 more doctor answer
Couple possibilities: Axillary lymphadenopathy, lymphadenitis, follicular cysts, sebaceous cysts, sebaceous adenitis, sweat gland cysts or tumors, or lipomas. A primary care doctor can examine and determine the type of swollen "glands" and due tests to determine the cause. Typically axillary lymph node swellings (adenopathy or adenitis) are due to infections or cancer.See 1 more doctor answer
I have implants in its 7months and I had ipl done under the arm now I have swollen glands and one infected gland will this infection effect implants?
Possibly: An infection in or near an implant could be difficult to treat with antibiotics, or even with antibiotics and drainage. Sometimes the implant must be removed. However, if your infection is located in the armpit and has been controlled, it may not involve the implant. Your doctor can give you the best advice regarding your problem.
