I have been waking up for the past month feeling off, keep getting re-occuring swollen glands in my armpits and mild headaches, what could this be?

Virus? Mono?: Lymph nodes ("glands") cannot come and go so often. Once actually swelling occurs, it will always last at least 1-2 weeks. So it is unlikely that explains your feeling "recurring" glands over a month. However, your symptoms could reflect some sort of viral infection like mononucleosis (glandular fever), or any number of other conditions. See your GP if your symptoms continue. ...Read more

Infection: This suggests infection - either localized "boils" in the underarms from shaving and/or ingrown hairs; or a symptom of a larger, systemic infection somewhere in the shoulder/breast region, or a generalized infection. Confusing: If your GP was not able to palpate a lump, then is it gone?? Did you try and show him/her where it was located?? Anyway, chances are it is a reactive lymph node which should go away within a week. Suggest seeing your GP again if it is still there after 2 weeks ...Read more
