I am congested. Swore throat. Swollen glands in neck and groin hurts to swollow went to the doctor last week was percribed amoxicillen for pherengitis

Acute Pharyngitis: Your symptoms may be due to a bacterial or a viral infection. Bacterial infectinos of the tonsils or the throat lining are typically caused by streptococcal bacteria which respond well to Amoxicillin or Amoxicillin with clavulanic acid if there is no response. However, it is imperative that a viral infection like infectious mononucleosis is considered and tested for as well, consult with your md. ...Read more

Can gingivitis cause swollen lymph glands in neck and groin?

Can gingivitis cause swollen lymph glands in neck and groin?

Yes and maybe...: Gingivitis will start a response in your immune system that would potentially involve lymph nodes in your neck. Oral infection does not however directly recruit lymph nodes in the groin area. While it's possible you have a systemic condition that is affecting both areas, it may be multiple problems at the same time. Brush & floss daily; see your dentist & your physician. ...Read more

Connections between inflammation due to kidney stones and swollen glands in neck/groin? I recently passed a kidney stone just b4 a CT. All are recent.

Neck/groin: My apologies but I don't fully understand your comment. Swollen glands in the neck should have no relationship to kidney. Swollen glands in the groin along with the neck suggests the possibility of cancer. I suspect that is not the case but would appreciate it if you could send me more detailed information. ...Read more

I have swollen glands in my r groin, l nipple and back of my neck near my occipital bone. All areas are painful and sensitive. Could it be from general liver detoxing?

No.: There is no such thing as "general liver detoxing" that would cause any symptoms. Multiple swollen, tender glands sounds more like an infection. See your doctor if it persists. ...Read more

How long does it take for swollen glands in neck to go down after having a cold? What is considered normal?

How long does it take for swollen glands in neck to go down after having a cold? What is considered normal?

Depends..: Many infections can linger even after sore throat has resolved. In general most reactive lymph nodes diminish in size after a couple weeks once the agent is gone. Mono, for example can take months....also sometimes lymph nodes get larger but dont go back to the original size. I suggest you see someone if it hasnt gone down 2-3 weeks after improvement in case you need to be examined or tested ...Read more

Please please help me! swollen glands in neck and armpit plus other symptoms. Am worried?

Go to your doctor fo: A medical examination is necessary unless you have had a viral head cold or sore throat recently, which can cause the neck nodes to swell up. Cause of a swollen face near the lips and swollen glands in neck?

Allergic reaction.: I am concerned that you may be experiencing a hypersensitivity reaction to something, or at the very least, you are having some type of infection. Can swollen glands in neck n under jaw cause Bell's palsy ?

I am a 55 year old male . I have what appears to be a lump under my armpit . GP checked for swollen glands in neck and armpit and saw no swelling . ?

Confusing: If your GP was not able to palpate a lump, then is it gone?? Did you try and show him/her where it was located?? Anyway, chances are it is a reactive lymph node which should go away within a week. Suggest seeing your GP again if it is still there after 2 weeks ...Read more

Red itchy skin & ears & swollen glands in neck since moving to new place. Gets worse after i've been in laundry room. Using same detergents. Help!

Allergic reaction: We can develop allergies even if we haven't changed the type of products we use. I would start by changing my laundry detergent to a hypoallergenic one. If that doesn't work, you can use a hypoallergenic soap like neutrogena. If you are no better after these changes, you need to see a dermatologist or allergist. ...Read more

I have had swollen glands in neck for over a month. Two episodes of fevers and tightness around diaphragm and back. Er visit positive d dimer nowwhat?

Get to a doctor: A d-diner test in its own doesn't really help. Rather than the er again, get to a good internist or family doctor. You might need another scan, blood work, or even a biopsy to get an answer to your condition and treatment that will get you feeling better. Although open enrollment is over, check out healthcare.Gov to see if you can still get insurance there if you need it. ...Read more

Small red blood cells high CRP swollen glands in neck and one arm pit weight loss feeling unwell sometimes fever tired all the time?

Systemic disease: This cannot be diagnosed over the internet. It sounds as if you are in the process of having an extensive evaluation and would continue with this. It requires a stepwise analysis of each and every finding to finally arrive at a specific explanation for the problems. This could be a primary blood disorder or an infection or both. Good luck and best wishes. ...Read more
