Virus: Did you have a throat culture to see if the infection was bacterial(strep)? If you have a viral throat infection, biaxin (clarithromycin) will not help. The rash sounds nonspecific and your physician who knows your case best should be consulted about the rash and whether to continue the biaxin (clarithromycin). ...Read more

Possible: It is possible that you have something called Bechet's syndrome which has both oral and vaginal manifestations. It is ALS possible that if you have cold sores ( herpes labialis) you can transfer the virus to the genital area on your fingers and develop genital herpes.
