I have swollen elbows no pain I have worked in a deli for 7 years 20 hour week on slicing machines using arm motions any ideas?
Depends: Is it swelling over the "pointy bone" at the back of the elbow. If so, you could have olecranon bursitis. This can occur with repetitive pressure - like leaning on your elbows - a trauma or less rarely things like gout or infections. It's uncommon to have elbow arthritis but not impossible. Let me explain: If she have no problems in the elbow before most likely some pressure from positioning during the procedure she have most likely will subside. Joint or outside?: If you elbow is swollen in the joint (fluid filled), you may have acutely injured the joint cartilage itself. If the swelling is on the outside near the bony prominence, you may have injured or irritated a ligament or tendon. You : You should see a doctor. While it sounds like you might have a bursal swelling/bleeding you should have an evaluation that includes a good exam and x-rays to properly evaluate the bone and joints of the elbow as well as so-called soft tissue i.E ligaments, tendons, and nerves and especially ulnar nerve. Elbow injuries even without fracture or dislocation can quickly lead to stiffness. Also though from your description it's unlikely you want to make sure you don't develop any kind of infection from the cut that might possibly communicate with the joint. Elbow: The most likely answer is he bumped his elbow hard enough to cause some bleeding deep next to the bone. The 'light blood' in the conditions might mean he is on some blood thinner. Even Aspirin can make you more prone to this kind of bleeding. Alternatively, the gout could also be the cause but you didn't mention it being painful. which is usually the case. ...Read more

My last ferritin readings were 341 and 368, I'm 42/male. Can ferritin increase from a swollen elbow or osteoarthritis? ESR/CRP/ANA normal. My Iron Profile was normal except for elevated Ferritin. Im fit and dont drink. Metabolic panel normal, HFE neg
All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your ferritin levels are not a cause for concern.
