I was hit on my face and have a swollen ear lobe and tenderness around the ear . The swollen ear lobe is long, thick and floppy . Is this permanent?
Hematoma: You could have a hematoma..(collection of blood/bruise)in the soft tissue of the ear lobe. This is very common and if it occurs frequently (as in Boxers) so called "Cauliflower ear" may develop. A single episode is unlikely to produce any permanent changes however!
