Ankle sprain.: It sounds like your ankle is healing up nicely. The swelling might just be residual and may very well continue to recede with more time. If at six weeks total you still have difficulties with the ankle, you might need another evaluation and perhaps an MRI scan. See how it goes. ...Read more

Be seen: I would probably be seen for a repeat exam and X-rays. You may have sustained a deltoid ligament injury or tear. If this is associated with a syndesmosis injury or a proximal fibula fracture, ankle X-rays can initially be negative but treatment may be needed. ...Read more

NOrmal: Pain and swelling after a combined fracture/dislocation can persist for months. Follow up with ortho doc and xrays is required and pt is almost manidtory to regain motion and function. Get checked: You'll want to get checked and treated right away. Although unlikely given the short description, infected joint needs to be ruled out. Pain back of left ankle & under heel to arch. Swollen ankle only. Xray show arthritis. No sign of fracture. No bruise. Color good. Cant bear weight.

Possible : Plantar fascitis though it doesn't effect the back of the heel. Back of heel would be achilles i suggest MRI at this point if nothing is on x-ray. ...Read more
