Could edema cause swollen wrists as well as ankles and the top of both feet? Also, would it cause a burning feeling in the feet and around the wrists?

It should have : Improved by now especially if you took advil (ibuprofen) regularly meaning three times a day for a week or two. Also be aware that you should take advil (ibuprofen) with food and water. At this point you should be evaluated and be considered for imaging by your internist to rule out fractures. Swollen joints: If one joint was swollen, i would be more likely to recommend er evaluation to rule out septic arthritis; a bad infection that attacks a joint. In your case, you are having pain in multiple joints all over the body. This is more likely indicating a systemic type of arthritis.
