See Allergist: Given you unbearable itching symptoms and rash refractory to topical steroids I would suggest making an appointment to see an allergist for further workup/evaluation. Can econazole cream for jock itch be used in combination with over-the-counter lotrimen jock itch spray or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) sprays to suppress itching?
Probably: Usually we don't want to use two different antifungal agents at the same time but there is probably no harm in doing so. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) spray is ok but there are other otc stuff such as tricalm, itch x that may be more effective. Maybe not yeast: This may or may not be a yeast infection. If yeasts, some are resistant to Monistat and other "azole" drugs. Hard to recommend an OTC remedy when the cause isn't known. Best to see a doctor, but you could try vaginal boric acid capsules, which are available OTC and can help some yeast infections. For sure see a doctor if boric acid doesn't help.
