Depends on procedure: This can be a multitude of things depending on the procedure and the size of ports used. Muscle pain and swelling are quite common although i would expect it to be improving each day. Bruising/hematoma/abscess or something intraabdominal are other causes especially in appendectomy/cholecystectomy or others. ...Read more

Likely normal: I do not know what surgery you had, or if the swelling you describe is located at one of the surgical sites. Swelling after any surgery is normal, and it can take a few weeks for swelling at a healing scar to resolve.
