Swelling: If this wasn't caused by injury, it could be an inclusion cyst. If it developed after a blow to the forehead, it most likely is a hematoma(blood collection under the skin) which is treated with cold applications(to stop the bleeding) for a couple of days and then warm applications which helps break it down. This pain that you have is considered "normal" and physiologic and is associated with an inflammatory response that is part of the healing process. Apply ice.: Immediately after the injury, apply an ice pack to the area, on and off for 10 minutes at a time for a few hours. There will probably still be swelling and bruising, which will go away after a couple of days, but the ice will help somewhat. If it doesn't, you should have your child seen by a doctor. I have had a manageable but deep pressure feeling in the wide/middle of my forehead, & now there is actual swelling across by eyebrow line. Any tips?

Forehead: The new appearance of the swelling will have to be evaluated to see if it is associated with the frontal headache. Not knowing your age, other health issues, if the swelling is discolored, soft or firm, painful to touch, etc leaves one at a disadvantage to make intelligent guessing.
