Swelling Foot Ankle
I sprained my ankle playing basketball 2 days ago. Swelling in foot ankle and all the up to halfway to my knee. Is it broken or sprained or a torn lig?
Any of the above: Any of the above could be present, if it was broken pain would be moreso and not get better, sprain would be slightly better in 2 days and probably same with torn lig. Should see your doc, & on examination it would be obvious what is the cause, in most cases. An xray would confirm a fracture. Keeping foot elevated, its normal to see swelling and bruising to extend upwards towards knee. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

3 year old is limping. There is no bruising/swelling on his foot/ankle. It hurts on the bottom. Also has 100.3 fever, cough and running nose. Related?
