Here are some ...: If just happening overnight, one has to concern about DVT (deep vein thrombosis) although it's uncommon for bilaterally simultaneous occurrence. So, watch such swelling closely for potential progress, go to urgent care timely, & don't wait until the last minute. Inflammation!: To have pain in so many places means an inflammatory process must be excluded. He needs someone with rheumatology expertise to diagnose and treat the problem. Have bad joint pain and weakness,very fatigued. No fever,no swelling, just a little inflamation in ankle.some twitching by knees. What could it be?

Its hard to know: I see that you have fibromyalgia (FMS). Bad joint pain and fatigue are commonly seen in FMS. Knee twitching is unusual. I suspect it is related to poor sleep and muscle spasm, or possibly anxiety. If not done recently, checking basic electrolytes (calcium, magnesium, sodium) and thyroid function is reasonable. Make sure you see someone that is skilled in treating your FMS symptoms. ...Read more

R.A is not localized: Your question is about rheumatoid arthritis. Still's disease is juvenile R.A. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease. It is not limited to one are of of the body. It will affect multiple joints of the body causing inflammation to the knees, shoulders, hips, feet and hands. R.A. May be diagnosed initially in the feet with x-rays.
