I have been getting a numbness and slight swelling in hands while lying down. Could this be a neck related issue? Numbness in hands

Elbow bursitis: After trauma may take some time to resolve. In the absence of infection, patience is needed. A gentle compressive sleeve or elvow pad may help comress the tissues and avoid repeat trauma but just as long as the skin does not irritated and the elbow does not get stiff. Could be: A trauma bad enough to cause bursal swelling could also be putting some pressure on the ulnar nerve on the inside of the elbow. This could cause some numbness in the ring and small finger of the hand. Keep up with the Motrin and ice. Doubt pregnancy: Could be carpel tunnel. That usually has a repitive motion history. Numbness usually. Means a nerve that has pressure on it. Different nerves got to various parts of the hand. If you aren't pregnant, just note if the swelling is gone in the morning but recurs by afternoon/evening, especially if you are on your feet all day. Also, check your blood pressure frequently. If still a problem after a few days, see your doctor.
