Hey i'm taking gnc 10 bilion probiotic complex becoz yeast overgrowth.is taking gnc 25 bilion or 50 bilion is for fast recovery from candida overgrowt?
No: That cannot be assumed to be true, because almost NONE of the probiotic supplements have scientific studies proving a particular supplement at particular doses can lead to "fast" recovery from a particular disease. "Yeast overgrowth" is very vague, because it does not say HOW MUCH overgrowth, nor even WHERE in the body the overgrowth is, or which TYPE of yeast. Usually, supplements are "untested". ...Read more
Probiotics, by definition, are beneficial bacteria that live in our intestinal tract to help us maintain health intestines and colon. There are several species of these bacteria that are helpful to us including lactobacillus acidophilus. The meats we eat contain antibiotics that kill our natural bacteria that reside in our gut. Today, you will replace these ...Read more
Benadryl (diphenhydramine) melatonin: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can be safely used. Just make sure that you're not too hung over from it the next day. Also make sure that it does not cause appetite stimulation which could also affect your diabetes. Otherwise there are no warnings regarding diabetes with it. The other option is melatonin. Actually, studies have been done with melatonin and diabetes and has been found that diabetics lack melatonin. The studies show that people who are low in melatonin have a twofold greater chance of developing type two diabetes. Melatoninreceptor sites are interestingly found in the islet cells of the pancreas. This is where Insulin is made. There are no contraindications to diabetics using melatonin. If you do use it, use a maximum of the 3 mg dose taken two hours before your desired bed time. Best wishes. ...Read more
Best multivitamin or vitamin to get rid of candida overgroqth and scalp fungus i'm taking gnc probiotic 10 billion conplex ?
Scalp problems: Vitamins in this setting have only limited use. Best to see a doctor for proper evaluation. In this modern age, vitamin deficiencies are rare as long as you eat a balanced diet (and are not vegetarian). I advocate getting vitamins, minerals and micronutrients from food rather than wasting money on supplements. It's a big marketing scam. Try selenium sulphide shampoo while you wait for an apt. ...Read more
I'm a chronic Lyme patient; anti microbial use has caused yeast overgrowth and now yeast die-off symptoms. Is colon cleanse nec. to flush toxins?
Herxheimer Reaction: The die-off may be going too quickly. If you are using a doc prescribed medicine ask him/her about lowering the dose. If over the counter back off a little. Your body is killing off faster than you can expel the results. Peace and good health. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
If I take Super Multi, Immune Detox, Super Immune 1 & Blood Sugar/Weight Control (3x's daily of each) considered to much?
Uncertain: We don't know what your medical conditions are or why you are taking so many products. I don't know the contents of each of these. Don't know why you have to take a detoxifier. But frankly, I got a little blown away just looking at how long this list was. My guess is that most of these contain many different substances. You may be getting significant overlay of contents. If you have to ask if ...Read more
Hey is garden of life men multivitamin is good for yeast overgrowth ( candida ) i'm taking gnc probiotics nd multivitamin please explain thx ..
Not exactly but...: I recommend everyone take a good multivitamin including those with candida issues, and Garden of Life Men's multivitamin is one of the better ones out there, but that alone won't do much if anything to treat the yeast. Treatment involves minimizing sugars and starches, taking antifungal herbs and/or drugs and probiotics. Treatment takes 3-6 months. See http://tinyurl.com/zhnhbfx for details. ...Read more
Me= yeast infection for 3 mos. Tried creams, boric acid, Candida diet, probiotics, garlic, etc. Taking iron pills 4 anemia- could that be feeding it?
Yeast infection: You do not say whether you have used anti-fungals in your treatment, either topically or orally. That is the best way to treat Candida vulvovaginitis. Iron is highly unlikely to have anything to do with this. If you persist despite this you may be being reinfected by your sexual partner and they could be treated as well. If still an issue make sure your immune system is intact. Good luck. ...Read more

Is probiotics a goodthing to takeafter taking doxycycline?I developed gastritis n GERD.Heard probiotics repopulates bacteria.Any bad probiotic effects
Probiotics: Most people don't need probiotics after taking a course of antibiotics, since the normal bacterial flora of the gut repopulates rapidly after stopping antibiotics. If you have a history of C. difficile, it may be useful to take probiotics, however. Otherwise, studies do not support their routine use. Having said that, there are not usually many side effects, if you do decide to try them. Good luck ...Read more
Male, 29, diabetic (MODY Hba1c 6.5 kidneys liver heart OK. Janumet (sitagliptin and metformin) then metformin only at night). Heard Serbian ginseng good for fatigue and sugar?
What probiotic is good for candida yeast gnc 50 ultra 50 probiotic complex or gnc multi strain probiotic conplex 10 billion cfus ? Plz suggest me thx.
Probably won't help: No probiotic is likely to be effective in treating a yeast infection. If that's what you have, you need treatment with a proper anti-yeast antibiotic. However, if you're talking about "systemic" candidasis, it's an urban myth; there is no such thing, and no treatment makes any difference. Discuss with a scientifically trained physician. Good luck! ...Read more

Why?: Why waste your money? Eat healthy and you don't need it. Who knows what's in there since it's not evaluated by the fda.
