Weight gain: If your TSH is normal, you may be gaining weight due to edema formation, or water retention. In that state, you would be gaining 1-2 lbs/day and have to get up at night several times to urinate. You're fine!: 127 pounds is an ok weight for you! if you were an adult, we might say ideal weight for a 5'5" male would be closer to 135 to 140 pounds, but you are in a state of growth/transition. I don't really know what you mean by "skinny fat" though. So diet & exercise: Your BMI (admittedly it is being criticized recently) is within the normal range of 18.5 - 24.9. (yours is just about 24). So, don't feel hysterical or let yourself be depressed.
