Eating food high in fat, sugars and carbs is bad for skin and causes hair loss?

Eating food high in fat, sugars and carbs is bad for skin and causes hair loss?

No: You need to stop reading disinformation websites. Now, people tend to overeat greasy and sugary stuff and that's how they get fat. The public therefore comes to believe that this stuff is "bad for you" and people are ready to believe that is causes other problems as well. In fact, acne & most other skill trouble is mostly unrelated to diet, and balding is hereditary. ...Read more

Unfortunately : Unfortunately there is no way around this problem, the issue here is Cellulose (fiber found in raw vegetables) this is a carbohydrate that is very difficult for the human body to digest. For this reason, if a lot is consumed the result is gas, bloating and nausea. You should also be aware that for this reason many of the valuable nutrients in raw vegetables are actually not being absorbed by the body, which defeats the intended purpose of eating this way. I believe that steaming your vegetables would be better on your digestive system, and would give your body more nutrients. On the other hand, you can try using a digestive aid before consuming raw vegetables. Examples of naturally occurring digestive enzymes include aloe vera and papain. These can be found at your local vitamin and herb retailer. Good luck! ...Read more

Is raw cacao toxic? Or really a super food?

Is raw cacao toxic? Or really a super food?

No but enjoy anyway: Botanicals are fascinating and as there are so many different known nutrients, it's not surprising that one or two are high in a particular food & folks who like it get excited. And if a cacao-growing island reports few "diseases of civilization" and has no one to diagnose cancer if it does strike... What's the quality and average length of life there? Chocolate's great but probably not magic. ...Read more
